The Sports Alley/El Dorado News-Times Scholar Athlete Banquet Awards will be held on Thursday, May 30 at College Avenue Church of Christ. The finalists for Female Scholar Athlete of the Year are: Smackover’s Presley Ainsworth, Parkers Chapel’s Bella Frisby, Parkers Chapel’s Kallie Martin, Parkers Chapel’s Reaux McAuliffe and El Dorado’s Diana Obiozo.

The Smackover-Norphlet School District Board of Directors met on Monday and heard discussion on a new intervention program that will be implemented on its campuses in the 2023-24 school year.
