Residents in several roads may be wondering why their bin wasnt emptied.

A consultation has been launched for the proposal of a 20mph speed limit for the whole of Ely.

On Thursday, May 4, 2023, at approximately 4:58 p.m., firefighters from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department and surrounding companies were dispatched to Baptist Church Road in the area of Stanton Way for a garage on fire threatening a home.

According to the Lexington Police Department, shortly after 6:30 this morning, a man walked into the Quality Inn on Stanton Way with a gunshot wound.

Local Plan South Lewisham Council is banking on the redevelopment of Bell Green Retail Park, supermarkets, and industrial sites to increase the number of homes in the south of the borough.
