“You can’t drag your pivot foot.” This kid in my sixth-grade class was a punk and cheated in basketball.

I’m not a fan of synchronized swimming. If my wife makes me watch it, I only look for the mess-ups. I prefer seeing the girl get kicked in the face more than the perfect routine. The stock market and the economy wouldn’t be very good synchronized swimmers.  

“Dad, will you help me change out my headlights?” My son is just days away from his birthday and getting his driver’s license.

“Don’t even look at me!” I dated this girl for a while who had some wild mood swings.

My 1976 Monte Carlo was a lead sled. The paint was flaking off behind the doors.

Straighten up! I don’t read lips well but even sitting several pews back from my mom in church I knew what she was saying.

This week a contractor at my office reached behind a board and upset a wasp’s nest. I was standing by him, and it was like a cartoon.

I’m very impatient. Any trip I take, whether across town or around the world I continually try to figure out how to get there faster.

Whittling a stick is therapeutic. I spent a lot of time as a boy whittling down a stick with my trusty Old Timer knife.

We all have a Negative Nellie in our circle and they can be difficult to be around. They are negative and pessimistic about everything.
