St. Ignatius High School, in collaboration with the STEM U Foundation, had the pleasure of meeting with Civil Engineer, Mrs. Ramy Molina Chia on January 29, 2024. This meeting aimed to gain insights into STEM vocational and competency-based education, specifically in the fields of engineering, architecture, welding, and non-destructive testing. The partnership also involved Mrs. Chia’s commitment in reviewing the curriculum for introduction to engineering, introduction to architecture, as well as a new program focused on welding and non-destructive testing at St. Ignatius High School.
On December 11th, 2023, a momentous partnership between the Belize Natural Energy (BNE), STEM U Foundation, and St. Ignatius High School was initiated with a visit to the BNE site. This collaborative effort aimed to provide students studying welding and non-destructive testing (NDT) a unique opportunity to observe and learn from professional welders. As part of BNE's commitment to community engagement and promoting vocational programs, this partnership seeks to empower students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience.
