Toronto-listed Voyager estimated that it had more than 100,000 creditors and somewhere between $1 billion and $10 billion in crypto assets.

The most intriguing portion of a recent news story is that Crypto Broker Voyager also filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in the Southern District of New York's federal bankruptcy court.

Voyager commenced bankruptcy proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York on Tuesday.

"This comprehensive reorganization is the best way to protect assets on the platform," Voyager told investors about its Chapter 11 filing.

Voyager Digital has today announced that it has started a voluntary Chapter 11 process causing the Voyager stock price to drop by almost 12%.
