Members of Fayetteville’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board have been working to establish a “friends of” group that would raise money for the city’s parks system.

FAYETTEVILLE -- Members of the resident-led Parks and Recreation Advisory Board are partnering with the Fayetteville Area Community Foundation to create a "friends of" fundraising group for the citys parks.

FAYETTEVILLE -- The parks board on Monday unanimously supported a project to put six pickleball courts at Wilson Park, replacing one full-sized tennis court and four junior tennis courts.

FAYETTEVILLE -- Parks and Recreation Advisory Board members on Monday discussed potentially renovating tennis courts at Wilson Park for pickleball, areas of the city that could be targeted for parkland acquisition and creating a fundraising nonprofit.
