A plaque dedicated to a visit by Prince Andrew to open a new school classroom block in Sleaford has already been taken down says its head.

A former Mayor of Sleaford and his wife have planted a mulberry tree at William Alvey School to mark the abolition of slavery in Britain and the school’s links to the anti-slavery movement.

A Sleaford headteacher says his primary school will consider whether to continue displaying a plaque commemorating a Royal visit by Prince Andrew.
