The Missouri Supreme Court this week overturned a Newton County Circuit Court ruling that held a Joplin hospital partly liable for a shooting on the hospital parking lot.

Mercy Hospital Joplin successfully appeals a negligence lawsuit after the Missouri Supreme Court rules that there was not enough evidence to prove the hospital knew the perpetrator of a shooting in their parking lot was dangerous.
