Kellogg Community College has announced that students earning an associate degree will now be automatically admitted to The University of Olivet through a new partnership.

The 179-year-old school located south of Lansing is set to rename itself in time for the fall semester.

Olivet College will soon be renamed to The University of Olivet. The Board of Trustees approved the name change during a board meeting on May 19, school officials say.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced a new scholarship program to Olivet College alongside President Steven M. Corey Thursday morning.
