Deputies: Muncie woman stole several hundred items from neighbor s home

MUNCIE, Ind. A Muncie woman already in custody in an auto theft case now stands accused of stealing several hundred items from a neighbor s home.
Stevey Ellen Phillips, 34, is preliminarily charged with burglary and theft in the break-in, which took place at her neighbor s home in the 9700 block of South Delaware County Road 50-W between April 22 and Tuesday.
Delaware County sheriff s deputies said the victim who had been away from her home helping to care for an ailing family member reported that nearly all of her possessions had been stolen.

Resisting law enforcement: Muncie police said a local woman led them on a brief chase after they found her slumped over the steering wheel of her vehicle in the parking lot of the southside Walmart.
Amy Lynn Bogle, 45, was preliminarily charged with driving while intoxicated and two counts of resisting law enforcement.
An officer, who had been sent to a report of a “suspicious suspect” outside Walmart, said after he approached her Cavalier, Bogle “sped away… at a high rate of speed.”
He described her speech as “argumentative and very slurred.”
Bogle was apprehended after her vehicle was stopped in traffic at 29th Street and Macedonia Avenue.
