Officers tell me after the man tried to shoot them twice the first time the gun didnt go off they had no choice but to fire back, killing him in the front yard of the home at 3312 cherokee. Officers were here because someone called 911 for help in a domestic dispute officers killed and a woman who lives inside. The woman was not hurt. Now, suddenly a car with just the driver inside ran a stop sign on a side street to shore avenue striking the drivers side of the van flipping it over trapping many of the six inside including two boys aged 3. Bystanders rushed to the rescue. I seen the neighborhood people, everybody trying to get the people the kids out. Out. They were really trying to get everything out. They could not get out.
