[indiscernible chatter] i think we are going to go ahead and get started with our second panel of the day. I am not going to give introductions of our speakers because they need no introductions. In thinking through the panel, we were thinking that the idea of this first panel would be to think in terms of the substance in some sense of constitutional political economy. Mtrying to think in terms of what it means to have a Constitutional Order that is not sure is decried in nature. We are going to begin. Thank you very much. Thank you all for being here. It is great to see such wonderful turnout to talk about constitutional political economy and to talk about the excellent book the antioligarchy constitution. One of the things that i think really comes out in the book is when we are talking about a constitutional political economy, the use of po

A lot of both suffering but also like genuine, amazing organizing, creative thinking strategizing and its happening in a lot of places. So i offer that as a like, a friendly amendment to the discussion that sort of the question isnt so much what one focus on, the question is what are the conditions under which the kind of demands that are already being formulated have force. And have durable force. And i think thats true historically too. We talked a little bit about the new deal. I was struck by even as the new deal itself had its own sort of reaffirmation of the history of racial discrimination, its also true that forces like the c. I. O. , for example, as one of the few, if not only, racially inclusive unions, formed the left flank of the new Deal Coalition and played a huge role in mak

Present when you are talking about the president marking the vote and there were 41, not 40 soontobe 42 when we vote on this mark i understand what you say about him having signed them but that still does not take away the fact that it is a signature piece of legislation that came from this president and those that supported it and its not likely that he is going to change his mind in that regard. That is what i dont see or hear and principally what i dont see is an alternative. The question that i have is what your Republican Study Group a year ago or a year and a half ago repeal and replace and repeal and replace used to be the mantra and now the mantra is defund. I ask you, do you and the study group have a plan or would we go back to the status quo . Absolutely we do have a plan. Let me get this plug. We officially unveiled our alternative called the American Health care reform act. The Republican Study Committee has would endorse this bill to comprehensively address the problems i

Turkey and the e. U. And all of that, it might create for lebanon an investment in its stability and its longterm viability because of the importance of energy. Similar to what, how the gulf sort of gets its stability and security. The gulf countries are, you know, strange tribes, but they survived because they have important resources. Other parking lots of the world parts of the world sometimes have that as well. Thats very important for lebanons geostrategic environment. If the east and west agree that this must be a peace offul zone because there are important resources here, now actually moving forward on whats the economic value of this, the first thing is to figure out how to get it to market. The market is effectively europe. The original approach was or the plan was certainly to take it over land to turkey which would mean through syria as long as the war there is raging, you cannot do that. But that is the most Cost Effective i way. And i would indicate that part of the war f

But the midpoint of your inflation projections are below your 2 target through 2016. Is that inconsistent with the lift off during that time. Is there a case that your threshold should be supplemented with a lower balance right, you wont taken if inflation is at or below some lower balance . In the latter part, of course you are seeing interestrate projections and inflation projections separately. Each individual making their own projection. I think you are right i. That is one of the reasons that i think we can be very patient in raising the federal funds rate as we have not seen any inflation pressure. Im having an inflation floor. That would be in addition to the guidance we are discussing how we might clarify the guidance on the federal funds rate. That is certainly one possibility.
