A busy RPGamer week includes a trio of reviews, an Odencat interview, and a new Adventure Corner. There is also plenty of RPG news, though unfortunately it is led by some sad news with the passing of Akira Toriyama.

YUKIKAZE, Studio Wildrose, and Natsume-Atari have announced that hack-and-slash roguelike Penny Blood: Hellbound has been released on Steam Early Access. A full release is expected this summer.

A double-dose of RPGamer content features reviews for Star Ocean: The Second Story R, Backpack Hero, and Eternights. We also have an interview for New World: Rise of the Angry Earth, a new Adventure Corner, and plenty of RPG news.

Yukikaze, Studio Wildrose, and Natsume Atari have revealed a revealed a companion title to Shadow Hearts spiritual successor Penny Blood. Penny Blood: Hellbound is an action roguelite planned to release next year.

The Kickstarter page for Penny Blood and Armed Fantasia has updated with a January 2023 dev diary, with Armed Fantasia making good progress.

Though the games are not related, Shadow Hearts has greatly influenced the story, characters, and setting of Penny Blood.
