Senior Luncheon canceled
Due to the governor’s recommendation to curtail indoor dining, the Sugar Valley Senior Luncheon scheduled for today has been canceled. If restrictions are lifted, the next regular luncheon at the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 at noon.
Dunnstown Fire Co. NYE raffle
The Dunnstown Fire Company is already prepping to say good-bye to 2020 with a special raffle scheduled for Dec. 31. Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased by contacting the fire company at (570) 748-7808. The raffle will be livestreamed on the fire company’s Facebook page on New Year’s Eve with five prizes starting at $1,000. Second place will win $500; third will win $250; fourth will win $100; and fifth will be $50. Money raised from the event will benefit the fire company.
