Suman Bery to take charge from May 1

After serving as Niti Aayog's vice chairman for nearly five years, Rajiv Kumar has stepped down from the post, and will be replaced by economist Suman K Bery on May 1.

Rajiv Kumar steps down as NITI Aayog vice chairperson, Suman Bery to take over - Kumar had taken over as vice chairman of the government`s think tank in August 2017, taking over from Arvind Panagariya.

Bery will take charge of the government's think tank from May 1, 2022, according to an official order. Kumar's tenure will end on April 30.
