Soon after Union Home Minister Amit Shah's scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government, the Trinamool Congress shot back with a lengthy rebuttal.

“Amit Shah spoke about the Ram Navami procession. Let me remind him that his cadre Sumit Shaw, who was seen brandishing weapons in the Ram Navami procession, was arrested from Bihar. As Union Home Minister, can't he condemn it?” the TMC spokesperson added.

Sources said Shah asked the Bengal party unit to strengthen their organisation before the polls.
