Gukesh's victory in the Candidates championship is a testament to India's thriving chess ecosystem

The 17-year-old from Nagpur recently won the FIDE Junior World Rapid Champion before finishing second in the FIDE Junior Blitz World Championships.

Dommaraju Gukesh is currently world number eight, with an Elo of 2758. The most amazing thing is that he has just turned seventeen years old! His strongest points are the attack and deep calculation.
