In Broward County, Gov. Ron DeSantis signs several bills that seek to reduce the scourge of human trafficking. Next legislative session, lawmakers should stand up to the hotel industry and allow hotels that abet traffickers to be sued by victims, a provision removed from the legislation DeSantis signed.
