KPRC 2 Investigates found one of the men who could have stopped the suspension due to the lack of manpower code in 2021, is still issuing department policies while being investigated for his role in 264,000 suspended incidents.

On Tuesday, KPRC 2 reporter Re’Chelle Turner spoke to a sexual assault survivor who now works as an advocate for victims of abuse and sexual assault crimes.

Finner said the code that was used to label reports "suspended due to a lack of personnel" was developed nearly a decade ago, and should've never existed.
