A 26-year-old Carson City man under investigation for the death of a two-year-old toddler in his care appeared in Justice Court Wednesday, April 5, 2017, but the charges against him were not related to her death.

Sheep have arrived in West Carson City for their annual Spring feeding near C Hill. A large herd of the woolly, cleft-hoofed herbivores can be seen grazing on grasses and shrubs along the backside of C Hill behind the Green House Garden Center off Rhodes and South Curry streets. The sheep are brought in annually to help reduce wildfire fuels.
