The latest optional updates for Windows 10 resolved a long-standing bug causing an error 0x80073cf and problems with the System Preparation Tool (sysprep.exe) after installing KB5032278 and newer.

Microsoft has acknowledged an issue affecting some Windows 10 users who have installed the KB5034912 update released in November. The problem means that 0x80073cf2 errors may occur when using the System Preparation Tool (Sysprep.exe).

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 10 version 22H2 may have a hard time completing preparations using Systeprep.exe after installing KB5032278. However, there is a way to bypass the problem.
