Hyderabad, April 27 : Veteran Congress leader and former Andhra Pradesh minister M. Satyanarayana Rao passed away early Tuesday at a hospital in Hyderabad, his family members said.
Popularly known as MSR, he was 87. He is survived by wife, two daughters and two sons.
MSR, who also served as a member of Parliament for three terms, had tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to Nizam s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) on Sunday.
He was kept on ventilator after his condition turned critical. He breathes his last at 3.45 a.m. on Tuesday.
He demands reimbursement of coronavirus medical bills.
Congress MLC. T. Jeevan Reddy has demanded the government to include corona treatment in Arogyasri as promised by the Chief Minister. K. Chandrashekhar Rao and also reimburse to all the patients who have been treated at the private hospitals.
At a press conference here, he said Chief Minister may get best treatment at private hospitals but all people were not so lucky and KCR was least bothered about it. People of Telangana neither get Arogyasri or Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme. CM is so indifferent that he has not even reviewed the situation when it was going out of hands.

Senior Congress leader and MLC T. Jeevan Reddy has alleged that grave injustice is being done to combined Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government as it is unable to stop Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project taken up by Andhra Pradesh.
He observed that A.P. Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had taken up RLIP by showing the drawal of third tmc ft of water from Kaleshwaram project by Telangana. Although the State government was unable to completely utilise even the 2 tmc ft of water lifted every day with Kaleshwaram project, the lifting of third tmc ft works were taken up only to get commissions, Mr. Reddy said speaking to newspersons here on Monday.

Former MP and TDP leader from Tadipatri in Anantapur, JC Diwakar Reddy made sensational statements about the fate of the Congress in State of Telangana politics and foretold that it would cease to exist in Telangana after the year 2023–24.

He spent over an hour chatting with the Congress leaders and the prospects of the party in the upcoming Assembly by-polls in Nagarjuna Sagar, which is due on April 17th.
