A headless, armless body was discovered at Breezy Point Beach, in Queens, on Friday afternoon. Police say the torse may belong to Ross McDonnell, an Irish Emmy-winning filmmaker who is missing in New York.

Police believe the human torso found Friday afternoon on a Queens beach may be the corpse of acclaimed Irish filmmaker and photographer Ross McDonnell, who vanished more than a week ago, sources told The Post.

Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation following the unsettling discovery of a headless body on a beach located in the Rockaways, a neighborhood in New York City.

The NYPD were on the scene at  Breezy Point Beach just after noon on Friday after reports of human torso came in to 911.

Police are asking for the public's help in the search for an award-winning filmmaker who vanished more than 10 days ago after leaving his Brooklyn home.

An NYPD spokesman cold not say whether the corpse washed up on the beach or if it was dumped there.
