Dallas-based fast-casual concept Velvet Taco will open downtown at Fifth + Broadway’s Assembly Food Hall by May’s end. The eatery, which bills itself as offering gourmet tacos, will be joined by a second Velvet Taco in Midtown this fall. The release does not note the specific Midtown location, but Nashville Business Journal reported last October it will go to 1911 Broadway, which previously featured a since-razed building home to Rack Room and Blue Bar.
