Achieve a twothirds vote. And to get the twothirds we do that with marbles. I am not kidding. We have a box over 100 years old that dates back to the turn of the century. And inspector monroe is demoted back to officer and hes the mayor, we will fix that. And this box is passed around after the presentation of the captain, and then vote. You need to get twothirds of a marble of a certain color to achieve a medal. If you do not get twothirds that is somewhere around 28 votes. It diverts down until you get to the medal that is appropriate. So i know tonight we dont have a gold medal. Gold medals are rare. They are really rare. I have been on the Medal Committee since 1997, and i can tell you that just about every gold medal was unanimous. And i was commenting and the one that everyone could understand the most is when the tiger got out in the zoo. And is the Police Department went in with. 40 calibers to hunt tigers. And someone said there is only three things that tigers do. They eat. T
Sure if you guys have an experience that you just wanted to call out and something that you felt was very important about San Francisco Small Business week . Or that we should continue to push forward p, and any you do an excellent job and i would like to say publicly that since your involvement with this you have really elevated this event and i remember years ago that we first had the room at the hotel in japan town and it was a oneday event and where it is at now and you have really raised the bar on this and i dont know how we can top it. And i am sure that we will about to hear how we will top this later on. And so, which i dont doubt that you can do. And i thought that flavors was excellent and i like, you know our committee decided to, you know, charge with flavors and it worked. And i mean, and so we kept out mostly kept out, but you made it more interesting and more of of a networking event and i noticed this year, they were kicking us out at 8 00. And in the years past it was
Closure of a significant recycling center are almost fourth closure with the recycling center with the Market Street safeway. And so which is and i reported last week that there was a closure of the geary street safeway. And so this is escalating our need to sort of deal with this. And so, i have been in conversation with Jason Elliott to start looking at this as a comprehensive thing for the city to address. And some proposal to put forward to the state because this is a state law, and so, any unique things that we may need to do will have to be addressed sort of in that context of it being a state regulation. The task force has two meetings left and so, the last two meetings we will be setting forward some recommendations, and i will let you know what those are primarily we have been doing fact finding and getting some information, and the one thing that has happened which i thought to me which is sort of a key element of the direction to go in, that we can identify, and i hope with
Summary prepared in advance of this hearing and the findings of this commission are so predictable that it makes me feel clarvoyant and the only thing that i am clear on is whether it is covering the back sides or kissing them and again, what difference does it make, the end rault is the Ethics Commission finding in favor of the city and against the values and interest of the citizens of San Francisco. In this case the board of supervisors managed to discriminate against and violate the rights of so many protected classes that it is impossible to enumerate them, the elderly, single parents, people of color, veterans and disabled and the list goes on and i have told this to the board of supervisors directly, and this commission today s from what i can tell, going to put its perimeter on those actions. They wanted to pass this and they didnt want the bad subpolicety of having all of these disenfranchised people showing up and making Public Comment and you cant tell me when you hand out a
Passionate lgbt advocate member and is dedicated to Public Service which is the kind of person we would like to see on our city committee. And the milk club started some 40 years ago of being a Queer Community leader who brings voices of other communities to the table to help those with labor groups and those of color and on the board he serves as a contact for organizations working on the housing and displacement crisis, working in communities of color like husta and on the task force, hell be someone who will really adequately represent the Lgbt Community but many underserved communities who will benefit from her commitment to Public Service and to increase transparency and government. I urge you to support mr. Hef ner and i would like to lend my support to mr. Wolf who is seeking your appointment today. Thank you supervisors.
