Five days of the best girls' swimming and diving in Colorado began Tuesday with the Class 4A diving competition, and will conclude Saturday with the Class 3A finals of the CHSAA swim and dive state championship meet at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton.

Berthoud senior Jen Conlon touched the wall at the end of the 100-yard breaststroke, turned toward her teammate Corinne Roberts in the lane next to her, and the two embraced following a 1-2 finish in the event.

Thompson School District art students of all ages premiered their work at the Loveland Public Library Thursday evening.

For the second year in a row, the Loveland girls swim team rose above the rest of its district rivals.
