At just five-years-old, Zachary Malpass lives a tougher life than most, having been diagnosed with Leukemia after falling ill in just his first week of school.

The country greats that inspired the Malpass Brothers—Hank, Merle, Lefty, to name-drop—may have passed, but their sound echoes in the music. Their six-piece band plays the Waco Hippodrome Thursday night.
