A 94-year-old great-grandmother took matters into her own hands when she grew tired of waiting for her bins to be collected during a strike.

Nan Miller wheeled her garden waste bin to the tip in Canterbury, Kent, after it was left unemptied because of strikes.

Nan Miller, 94, from Canterbury in Kent, became so frustrated with the bin strikes which started earlier this month, she felt forced to take matters into her own hands.
