Alongside the headline-dominating Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi also launched the Xiaomi 12X at its event in China today. The Xiaomi 12X appears to be a more affordable variant of the Xiaomi 12, with one notable difference being the use of a Snapdragon 870 over Qualcomms new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Xiaomi will launch both the Xiaomi 12 series and MIUI 13 at its event tomorrow. The company has now also confirmed that the new flagship phones will come with MIUI 13 pre-installed, with prior information indicating an imminent OTA rollout starting with phones in the Mi 11 and Redmi K40 series.

Reportedly, Samsung has turned to hardware and software refinements to pull even better performance from its 108 MP ISOCELL HM3 camera sensor. The improvements will debut in the Galaxy S22 Ultra, also thought to be called the Galaxy S22 Note.

The Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro have been confirmed for a December 28 launch in China. Both phones will feature 50 MP main cameras but all 50 MP sensors arent built the same, and it appears the Xiaomi 12 will get the short end of the stick.

Huawei has unveiled the Watch D, the companys latest smartwatch and its first that can measure blood pressure levels. The Watch D can take an ECG too, and has built-in GPS and NFC support. Huawei has equipped the Watch D with a large display, but the smartwatch will currently only be available in China.

The Xiaomi 12 will arrive on December 28, but Evan Blass has already leaked several official promotional pictures. Details of the Xiaomi 12 series are mostly unconfirmed with the exception of Xiaomis marketed display specifications. A new leak from China purports to lay the vanilla Xiaomi 12 bare, though, by revealing its specs and pricing ahead of launch.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is set to make its grand debut alongside the Xiaomi 12 next week and Xiaomi has now also revealed some information on the flagship phones display. While the regular Xiaomi 12 uses a small FHD+ display made by Huaxing, the Xiaomi 12 Pro will sport more premium hardware.

Reportedly, Samsung has delayed the Galaxy Unpacked and launch dates for the Galaxy S22 series. A separate leak has revealed a Galaxy S22 series marketing poster that seemingly debunked the idea that Samsung will release its premier smartphone as the Galaxy S22 Note.

Huawei has unveiled the P50 Pocket globally, a clamshell smartphone with a 6.9-inch display when unfolded. The P50 Pocket also has a 4,000 mAh battery, four cameras and a Snapdragon 888 4G SoC. The P50 Pocket does not come cheap though, with the device starting at CNY 8,998 (~US$1,410) in China.
