Dimapur, Nov. 18 (EMN): The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has urged the concerned authority to stand by the P and AR rules in the recruitment process and not come up with unnecessary special drive recruitment in the already confused NPSC. CTAN has issued a statement while referring to the office letter no. N.HFW(A)COVID-19/APPT-13/17/2020 and cabinet vide NO.CAB/2013 dated 26-05-2022. It pointed out that appointments made on contract/ engagement basis were purely on temporary basis. It added that contractual appointments were meant for one year service to fill the gap of those posts in departments, which are vacated due to promotion/retirements/death etc. so as to keep the office functioning until the time when those vacancies are being requisitioned, advertised and examinations are conducted through NPSC for those vacancies.
