Clearing the decks for operationalising the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) to resolve GST disputes, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today administered the oath of office to the tribunal’s first President, Justice (Retd.) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra.

The government has invited applications for judicial members and technical members in the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), with 63 vacancies for judicial members and 32 vacancies for technical members. GSTAT will have one principal bench at Delhi and 31 state benches. The minimum age to apply is 50 years, and the pay is Rs 2.25 lakh per month.

The Central government has notified the appointment of four members - including two judicial members and two technical members - to the National Law Company Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
