The Navy and industry have been working to develop a whole other category of robotic, autonomous, and semiautonomous technologies designed to keep human warfighters and their platforms in the fight.

Sarcos robotic systems are designed to carry out maintenance, inspection, and repair activities, on and around ships that are underway and pier side, creating safer and more effective shipyard operations and improving the efficiency of sailors and shipyard workers.

The US Navy has concluded its first-ever Repair Technology Exercise (REPTX)-2022 to demonstrate and assess several ship maintenance technologies.
