The Kildorrery Tidy Towns group were very pleased at the beginning of the month to accept a variety of mature trees from Peadar Collins in the Irish Tree Centre, a local nursery.

The hard work of the people of Kildorrery has been recognised by Cork County Council this month as they emerged from the 2023 Anti-Litter Awards the overall winners of the County Final in the ‘large villages’ category.

A piping plover, brown pelicans, a mandarin duck and cedar waxwings were spotted in Hampton Roads.

Michael Bourne, longtime radio host for WBGO in Newark, died on Sunday, August 21. He was 75 years old.
