A new Exeter Township supervisor has been appointed.

Supervisor David Vollmer, Jr. was elected to be the new board chair. He received 3 votes in favor of his election.

Solicitor Chad Schnee said the disparaging comments about him were posted on Supervisor David Hughes website.

The vote was 3-1, with Supervisor David Vollmer opposed and David Hughes abstaining.

Supervisor David Hughes was expelled from part of the supervisors meeting by Chair George Bell and Police Chief Matthew Hawley.

Mary E. McBride expects to leave the post by Aug. 1.
