Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, have arrested scores of individuals who are alleged to be hosting a same-sex wedding.  The NSCDC operatives arrested at least 76 suspects in connection with the same-sex event.  The state Public Relations Officer, Buhari Sa’ad, disclosed this while parading the suspects before journalists at the command’s headquarters in Gombe on behalf of the state Commandant, Mohammed Muazu. 

An independent human rights advocacy organisation, the Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC), has decried Delta State Police Command's speedy arrest and parading of over 100 persons suspected to be conducting gay marriage in a hotel in the Warri area of the state. The command in a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter on Tuesday morning, noted that they would be going live shortly on Facebook to parade the suspects.

The police in Delta State on Tuesday said the confession of a male cross-dresser who claimed to be an actor, led to the arrest of 67 suspects - both male and female - for allegedly conducting and attending a same-sex wedding ceremony in the state.
