– The Paso Robles Bearcats Football team (4-3) travel south to play the Santa Ynez Pirates (5-2) Friday night. The Bearcats have lost two in a row, and they’re looking to rebound against the Pirates. They were defeated by Mission Prep 28-7, and St. Joseph 38-10 after winning four consecutive games.

– The Paso Robles High School Bearcat Football Team is back home Friday night after a 28-7 loss at Mission Prep last Friday. The Bearcats host the St. Joseph Knights. The Knights are 5-1. The Bearcats are 4-2. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. Friday evening at War Memorial Stadium on the campus of Flamson Middle School.

– The Paso Robles Bearcats (4-1) travel south to San Luis Obispo tonight to play the Mission Prep Royals (3-2). Last Friday, the Bearcats pulled off a big upset over previously undefeated Lompoc, 34-33. With the loss, Lompoc fell to 4-1 overall, 1-1 in conference.

– Friday night football games will be much cooler this weekend. Because of the heat last week, Paso Robles Bearcats did not start play until 8:15 p.m. on Friday night in Porterville. This weekend, conference play begins for all Central Coast football teams except the Tempelton Eagles.

–The Paso Robles Bearcats beat Arroyo Grande 19-14 at Doug Hitchen Stadium Friday night in the South County. The Bearcats improve to 2-2 for the season, 2-2 in conference. The Bearcats travel to Templeton next Friday to play the Templeton Eagles. It’s the first game between the two schools since 1924. They played twice that year, and Paso Robles won both games.
