City Administrator Stephanie Ellwein said the restrictions that the city has to abide by in spending American Rescue Plan Act pandemic relief money looks “a lot” different than than the CARES Act spending requirements.

“If we don’t fix the old infrastructure we have now, it will cost way more down the road and lead to more problems in the meantime. We have miles of pipes that are 100 years old,” said City Council President Kevin McCardle on investing in infrastructure projects.
