The annual Terry Fox walk for the students of Terry Fox Elementary school in Pierrefonds took place last Thursday morning.

A West Island community organization says it needs more funding or else it will have to cut down on the amount of children it helps through its programs.

Funding comes from COVID-19 Resilience Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program

A one-day Advanced Student Leadership Summit took place at Laval Junior Academy on March 19, drawing hundreds of grade four to grade eleven students as participants from Laval and other areas of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board’s territory.

The city says it plans to install 23 new cameras this year, bringing the total to 40 by the end of 2023, including four cameras on high-speed roads to see if they help reduce street racing.

The Abbotsford schools beloved teacher, who passed away on Jan. 31, is being remembered with a large mural donated by a Surrey artist.
