Tesla The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released a preliminary report in its investigation into the fatal crash of a Tesla Model S in April near Houston. The report states that when the car started, security video shows the owner in the drivers seat. Reports at the time of the April 17 accident were that the seat was empty after the car crashed.
