The festival’s first year since the pandemic has been marked by challenges, but still the show goes on.

The National Arts Festival kicked off with jubilation as the government lifted the Covid-19 restrictions and venues were able to be filled to full capacity once again.

It might have been a somewhat slow start to the National Arts Festival, now in its 48th year, but the lifting of the remaining Covid-19 restrictions with full capacity venues has added an additional boost to the festival.

Sello Maake Ka-Ncube, the Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra and many more will be entertaining audiences at the National Arts Festival.

It’ll be the ultimate celebratory homecoming for audiences and the arts community when the National Arts Festival resumes its live format with an immersive in-person arts experience in 2022.
