Mahindra has confirmed that its upcoming Thar.e will be based on its new platform called the INGLO-P1 platform, offering increased ground clearance and best off-road capability. The wheelbase of the Thar.e will range from 2,775 mm - 2,975 mm to accommodate the extra doors and battery pack.

Apart from the Thar.e, Mahindra also unveiled seven new tractor models at the event in Cape Town, South Africa.

The Mahindra Thar electric SUV will be based on the carmakers INGLO-P1 EV platform. The design is different from the standard Thar SUVs sold in India.
