A lawyer for San Francisco's public school system on Monday kicked off a long-awaited trial against Altria Group Inc , saying the tobacco giant helped e-cigarette company Juul Labs Inc create a "crisis" of vaping addiction among teenagers.

Alto Reed, longtime saxophone player for Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, passed away Wednesday morning from colon cancer.
Alto was a sax star! Born Thomas Cartmell in Detroit, he was an original member of the Silver Bullet Band who started playing with Bob Seger in 1971, and he was by his side at Cobo Hall in Detroit in 1975 recording the live album that made them take off, Live Bullet. His onstage personality made him a standout in concert, with everybody waiting for those signature opening notes to the classic, Turn The Page.
Bob Seger s Silver Bullet Band saxophonist Alto Reed has died of colon cancer at 72. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our lifelong friend and bandmate, Alto Reed, Seger, 75, said on Twitter Thursday.
He continued: Alto passed away this morning at his home with his family by his side after fighting a courageous battle with colon cancer. Alto has been a part of our musical family, on and off stage, for nearly 50 years.
