Jason Candle’s team beats Liberty to win their second Boca Raton Bowl.

BOISE, Idaho -- Former Fayetteville High School quarterback Taylor Powell threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns, Samson Evans rushed for two scores and Eastern Michigan defeated San Jose State 41-27 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Tuesday.

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- As he dealt with various injuries throughout the 2022 season, Toledo quarterback Dequan Finn used a message from his coach to stay the course, and eventually, lead his team to a bowl win.

Tuesday marks the start of MACtion season — the return of November midweek conference games — and the Rockets hope to shine vs. Ball State.

Toledo completes the late comeback against EMU to preserve their division lead.

The University of Toledo football team finished 7-6 this year, including 5-3 in the Mid-American Conference, but no game brought more attention than when the Rockets lost at then No. 7 Notre Dame, 32-29.

Freshman Nick Vattiato threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns, including a 59-yard scoring pass to Jarrin Pierce with 6:24 left, and Middle Tennessee beat Toledo 31-24 on Friday in the Bahamas Bowl.

The game ends with the Huskies on the Chanticleers 4-yard line.
