Two newly elected justices of the Illinois Supreme Court have declined to recuse themselves from a case challenging the states recently passed ban on certain high-powered weapons and high-capacity magazines.

The two newly-elected Illinois Supreme Court Justices O’Brien and Rochford cited a Republican predecessor in their decision not to recuse themselves.
