Officers were called around 10 p.m. and when they arrived, they found Thomas Marble, 23, with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Phoenix police are investigating a deadly shooting in an Ahwatukee neighborhood. At about 10 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the area of 44th Street and Frye Road for reports of a shooting.

Neighbors reported hearing gunfire at around 10 p.m. on May 8 near 44th Street and Windsong Drive.

The victim died from a gunshot wound to the chest after being transported to a local hospital, the Phoenix Police Department said.
