Austin Prock, driver of the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car, raced to the inaugural 2024 PRO Superstar Shootout victory over 2023 NHRA Funny Car World Champion Matt Hagan with his pass of 3.845-second E.T. at 332.43 mph to Hagan’s 3.872-second E.T. at 329.75 mph.

Austin Prock will start the NHRA season driving a John Force Racing Funny Car instead of his Top Fuel dragster as Robert Hight tends to undisclosed personal medical matters. The move was announced on Tuesday and said to be temporary.

The Countdown to the Championship is on and heating up in NHRA, with The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosting Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and FlexJet Factory Stock Showdown Team Chevy teams in the penultimate 2023 NHRA Nevada Nationals Oct. 27-29, 2023.

With three races remaining in the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, the Chevrolet drivers and teams competing in the Countdown to the Championship have their sights set on the Texas NHRA FallNationals Stampede of Speed this weekend at Texas Motorplex to gain critical wins and points at a crucial time.

Greg Anderson captured Chevrolet’s 379th Pro Stock win since 1970 and the 260th in the Camaro during Sunday’s NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway near St. Louis.
