Three Montana teachers are vying for national recognition in a competition called America's Favorite Teacher.

Montana Board of Crime Control awarded $32,500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yellowstone County, $32,500 to Friendship House, and $38,500 to Billings Public Schools.

"It was a matter of how do we safely gather and show our administration and our school board that there is a group in our community that do support what they are doing. That does support their actions and honestly their bravery in this climate," said Clementine Lindley, a Billings mother of two.
