It is a really good article that I recommend reading, and they bring up some good points. There was one part that stuck out to me though...

I didn’t set out to have exactly a coven’s worth of observations from this year’s Mystic South conference, but that’s how it worked out. I’m not the least bit surprised. It was a great time.
