Six volunteers and advocates were recognized with Medals of Good Citizenship in Vancouver on Thursday, during an emotional ceremony where the province recognized their efforts to make communities better.

Four Vancouver Island residents have won the 2023 Medal of Good Citizenship, including Parminder Virk, Craig Evans, Rhoda Taylor and Tim Cormode.
