Mother has taken the step toward sustainability. This week, the denim label launched 60% Mother, a capsule collection that’s 60 percent overstock fabric (hence the name) from past seasons and 40 percent materials found at wholesale vintage recycling plants across Los Angeles.
“We are committed to only working with what is available at local rag houses as well as within our own inventory of excess fabric, damages, and overstock,” says Tim Kaeding, Mother’s cofounder and creative director, to
BAZAAR.com. “Each garment in the 21-piece capsule is deconstructed and reimagined creating unique features and characteristics.”
